Ikuntji Water dreaming Mug - Design by Jeannie Wareenie Ross

About the artist and Artwork

Born in 1965, Jeannie Wareenie Ross lives between Mt Liebig and Haast's Bluff and often paints together with her sister at Ikuntji Artists.  Water Dreaming is a women's hunting story also about bush medicine and flowers.  Jeannie's work was exhibited in 2017 at the 11th Darwin Art Fair.

About Ikuntji

Ikuntji Artists was first established in 1992 as  Women's Centre.  From humble beginnings producing acrylic paintings on linen and on handmade paper, the artists quickly gained the attention of the Australian and international art world.  The focus changed from a women's centre to an art centre in 2005 with the incorporation of the art centre as Ikuntji Artists Aboriginal Corporation.
